Pack 29,

Great turnout for the Memorial Day Parade!  Had to be the best weather we’ve seen for the parade in 10 years!  If anyone has any pictures from the parade that they’re willing to share, please send them to me and I will post on the website.

Plans are underway for one of our best graduation picnic campouts ever, so dust off the camping gear and get ready for a great afternoon of activities for the scouts on Saturday, June 1st in the Arndt Church fields.

Tent setup can start at 1pm.  Activities will begin at 2PM, followed by dinner, the pack meeting, and an outdoor movie.  Campers will awake to the world-famous Delgado Delicious Pancake breakfast!!

We will be asking for volunteers to run our 2013/2014 scouting events.  A signup sheet will be posted at graduation and we ask each family to sign up for one volunteer slot for each child in scouts.  You can run an event (Halloween Pack meeting activity), help organize at a bigger event (Thanksgiving Feast) or coordinate a fundraisier (Popcorn) not tied to a specific date.  Either way, we need YOU to help make the program the best possible program for YOUR scouts.

Please remember to bring your assigned side dish, for approx 20 people:

Den 1 Web 1 & Den 4 Bears:  Desserts
Den 7 Tigers:  Chips
Den 8 Wolves:  Fruit

Also bring a camp chair as seating is limited.

We will also have signups for our 2013 Whitewater Rafting day trip, to be held on June 30th.  Cost is only $22 per person, but you MUST sign up at graduation to get a slot.

June 30th Whitewater Rafting

Also at the graduation campout, we will have a signup for our Family Whitewater Rafting trip to Pocono Whitewater on June 30th.  Be in Jim Thorpe by 9:30am on Sunday June 30th for the rafting adventure of a lifetime!  You will spend a total of 5 to 6 hours (3 to 4 hours will be on the river). A riverside hot dog barbeque lunch is provided on this trip. 5 gallon buckets are available upon request from your guides to keep any snacks or drinks you bring dry.  Cost is $22/person.  Payment must be made on June 1.
