Pack 29,

This weekend is our Pack Graduation.  Friday evening (5/29) starting at 6PM we have a family camp out (eat dinner before you come, each family is responsible for their breakfast and lunch on Saturday).  Bring your tent and spend a night with your scout.  Saturday is when the real activities begin.

Tent Setup:  1-2PM
Activities: 2-5PM
Dinner:  5:30-6:30PM
Clean up, dress in Class A: 6:30-7PM
Meeting: 7-8:30PM
Movie: 9PM

This year Oogies Ice Cream Truck will stop by at 3:30.  Please bring $2-3 per person for an ice cream treat.  Remember to bring a camp chair for our Pack Meeting (seating is limited) and movie.

Our theme this year is racing and we have lots of races for the kids to participate in:
– sprints/relay races
– spoon and egg races
– 3 legged races
– sack races
– an obstacle course- pushmobile
– scavenger hunt around dinner time
– culminating the day – the Raingutter Regatta (if you do not have a boat, please contact your Den leader immediately – this goes for siblings as well).

The Pack will supply most of the dinner (hotdogs and hamburgers, mac-n-cheese, macaroni salad, coleslaw, baked beans), and we are asking each family to contribute enough for 20 people:

Den 5:  Chips and Pretzels
Den 6:  Fruit
Den 7:  Desserts
Den 8:  Vegetable Dish

Please use the sign-up form to let us know whose coming, how many, and what you would like to bring: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0d4caaab2da1fd0-pack

Sunday we’ll awake to the world-famous Delgado Delicious Pancake breakfast!!

We will be asking for volunteers to run our 2015/2016 scouting events.  A signup sheet will be posted at graduation and we ask each family to sign up for one volunteer slot for each child in scouts.  You can run an event (Halloween Pack meeting activity), help organize at a bigger event (Thanksgiving Feast) or coordinate a fundraiser (Popcorn) not tied to a specific date.  Either way, we need YOU to help make the program the best possible program for YOUR scouts.

If you are interested in whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, please contact Jeff Baker (jhbaker2001@yahoo.com) ASAP so that we can make reservations.

Finally, Pack 21 has 11 extra Iron Pig tickets for the June 19th Scout night.  If interested, please let me know (frank.fossa@gmail.com).  We are looking for an organizer for Pack 29 night at the Iron Pigs (7/31) .  Let me know if you are interested in volunteering for this position.
