I have signups and checks from many of you for JAMBO (May 17-19)
If there are any final additions, please contact Chuck Mina ASAP to confirm. This is the last announcement that will go out before registrations, I will only be registering those who have made payment.
Remember that siblings are welcome but must be registered at the scout rate to participate.
After registrations are entered this week, signups are possible but prices will rise $10 per person.
Fees are $28 for adults and $46 for scouts. That covers registration, camping Friday and Sat nights, and Pack provided food (sat breakfast, sat dinner, light Sunday breakfast). Sat lunch will be on your own at JAMBO,
There is also an option for Sat only daypass (no camping). It is a not a huge difference in price. Let me know if thats your preference a I can share the details.
Here’s the latest preview of some JAMBO activities from council!
The Cub Scout Area is rolling full steam ahead adding new activities to an already packed offering!
- Guess who is joining us at Jambo? The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are coming. They will be running a hockey puck shoot station. Come and try your hockey skills.
- The Marine Corps are also coming to Jambo! They will be teaching our Scouts how to fold an American flag properly. Remember to thank them for their service.
- Would anyone like to be a professional golfer? Try your skills at getting a hole in one at the golf putting green.
- Cub Scouts love rockets! We will have bottle rocket launches and paper rocket launches. Be sure to make your way over to see how high your rocket can go.
- When your feet get tired from walking, come take a rest at the Crayola Creative Station. This is an open area where you can create a painting, drawing, or clay model.
- Cub Scouts have great STEM activities!
- Visit the Franklin Institute on the North Campus. They will have 4 fire and combustion shows and liquid nitrogen shows. The shows will be at 10, 12, 2, and 4. In between the shows they will have bucket demo launches. Be sure to visit this station!
- The DaVinci Science Center is coming to Jambo. Visit them on the South Campus. They will be holding 4 shows on wind tubes and electricity. The shows are at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, and 3:30. In between the shows they will have Robotics shows. This is a great opportunity to rest your feet and see a terrific show!
- Everyone loves slime! Come to the slime station to make your own slime to take home.
- Parents, do your children know any of the games we used to play; hopscotch, checkers, tic tac toe? There will be giant games throughout the campus. Stop and teach them how to play on your way to other activities.
