Food pickup will be Saturday November 12. We will start at 8 AM at Arndt’s church. We need 2-3 older scouts (BSA level or AOL) to arrive at 8 AM to help with setup and stick around to sort and weigh food.
Everyone else will be given a neighborhood to drive and look for food that has been left out. Parents / adult drivers are needed as pickup requires driving through the neighborhoods, usually in multiple rounds.
While we are sorting food and organizing the pickups, we will be raking and cleaning up the outdoor areas of Arndt’s. Please BRING RAKES from home to help out!
After all collection and sorting is complete we will need some volunteers with large cars to help transport the food to Salvation Army at 1110 Northampton St in Easton. This normally takes place from about 10:30-11:30 AM.
To keep track of the scouts volunteering for setup – and for those available to transport food to the Salvation army – please use this signup. Everyone else can just show up between 8 – 830 AM then please try to stick around to help with raking and sorting once you return with the food.
