Hello scout families!
We typically start collecting $100 per scout deposits for Akelaland summer camp at the Blue & Gold in February, however council has just announced this new program that is only available to the first 1,000 scouts that register for camp in 2024. Our camping dates are June 23rd-29th at Camp Minsi in the Poconos. The theme this year is Superheroes!!
If you know 100% that your scout is going to attend camp this year and you would like to save $75 by being one of the first 1k scouts that register, please contact Cub Master Matt Walter for check/ Venmo and other payment options. Or ask your den leader for more details.
Our pack cost per scouts is $485 for full week with “early bird” discount, which usually requires deposit by Feb 28.
With this additional $75 discount, your cost is $410. The discount can also apply to mini-weeks. I do not know how long the $75 reduction will last, and once it’s gone – we will be back to full pricing.
Note that Minsi council camperships remain in effect and you may still apply for additional discounts if needed based on financial need or hardships.
