Hello Pack 29 Families!
Scouting for Food, the nation’s largest food drive, began as one Scout’s service project in St. Louis in 1985 and was adopted by the National Organization in 1988. Packs, Troops, and Crews all across America participate in this service project to collect food for those in need.
Pack 29 has been a proud participant in this service project for many years. In 2024, our scouts logged 110 hours of community service, where we distributed 3500 flyers and collected more than 2300 lbs of non-perishable food items for families in need.
This year, we will be distributing door hangers (flyers) on three separate days (11/1, 11/2, 11/4) and collecting food from the community on Saturday, 11/8. This is one of our favorite events of the year and is a great opportunity to give back to the community during the holiday season.
Here is a Sign-Up Genius link to sign up for canvassing and food collection.

I encourage all families to participate in at least one of the sessions. We’re able to accommodate schedule limitations, so if you want to get involved but can’t make the scheduled times, let us know, and we’ll work on some alternative plans!
