August Pack Meeting, Sun 8/24 6:30PM

Welcome Back Pack 29!!

Please plan to attend our August Pack Meeting at Arndt Church (outside) on Sunday August 24th beginning at 6:30PM.  This is the night before the first day of school for most of our scouts, so we are going to keep this meeting short.  Dress is Class A uniform.

Our scouts earned LOTS of advancements over the summer – from Forks Day Camp, Lopatcong Day Camp, and Akelaland, campers had a fun-filled, active scout camp schedule.  We’ll be handing those out along with our “special” camp awards on Sunday.  Please bring your own chairs for outside seating.

Ever wonder how you can be more involved in helping out your pack?  We need help with the following positions:

September Pack Meeting (1)
Pushmobile (1)
Blue and Gold (2)
April Pack Meeting (1)
JAMBO (2)

Please let me know if you are interested by emailing: frank.fossa@gmail.com

Thanks for your assistance in making this a great scout year.

Hi Frank, new to the Pack. What does volunteering for a Pack Meeting (above) entail?

Hi Mike, this is a great question. Basically, the parents help plan/coordinate the activities for our Pack Meetings. Pack leadership will still handle the formal portion of the meeting (opening, skits, scout recognition, etc.). For instance at the September Pack Meeting, we camp out, but need activities for the scouts and siblings from 3-4:30 on Saturday. The activities can include belt loop stations, sports, crafts, or anything else scout appropriate. The Pack has some resources available to help and there is usually money budgeted for the meeting. This is a great way to meet the Pack Committee and other parent within the Pack. It also allows parents that volunteer the ability to shape the experience for all scouts. If you need more information, please let me know.
