Updates for this weekend

Thanks for all the responses! This weekend is shaping up to be BIG in turnout so there are some adjustments to the plan.

We are expecting over 100 people for dinner! And over 50 campers probably spread across 16 or more tents.

AOL Parents – we really need your help starting at 2:30 PM at the pavilion for setup and decorating.

Parents of younger scouts – if you have some time please see if you can help out either with setup or at the recruiting tent which should be setup by 3 PM

Due to the large numbers, the meeting and crossover ceremony will NOT be held in scoutcraft. We will use the grass space right next to the pavilion. This allows parents to watch from the pavilion and kids can sit in the grass.

Also, the outdoor movie is cancelled due to time constraints. The ceremony should finish between 8:30 and 9 PM. After that we will have a fire in scoutcraft, you are welcome to sit and relax or head straight to your tents if you are camping out. Please bring your own snacks or s’mores supplies for around the fire if you want.

Breakfast in the AM will be pancakes, sausages, milk, juice, and coffee for adults.

Even if you are not camping remember to bring:

  • Camp chairs for everyone
  • Full bottle of water (we will have water available too)
  • pop up tent for yourself if you want shade while eating (some seats will be available under pavilion too)
  • Class A uniforms (best to change into before ceremony – class B’s for playtime)

Here is the full updated schedule for the day:

  • Campers – please try to finish setup by 3:30 PM at latest, you can setup starting at 1 PM
  • AOL Parents start decorating and setup at 2:30 PM
  • Recruiting table with info about Pack 3-5 PM
  • Grins and Grins performing 4-5 PM (they will also be setting up starting 2:30 PM)
  • Dinner starting around 5:15/5:30 PM.
  • Change to Class A’s after dinner
  • Meeting and Ceremony starting 7 PM
  • Fire around 9 PM (BYO s’mores)
