Quick update on the schedule for today’s graduation ceremony!
Over the last couple of days, I’ve gotten a lot of feedback from leaders and scout families who have schedule conflicts with the first half of our meeting today due to sports or other commitments, so we are going to move some things around.
The meeting will still start at 2:00 PM, but we are going to begin with the picnic, games, and other activities. The only adjustment we’re making is to move the graduation ceremony portion of our meeting to 4:15 PM. So, our schedule looks something like this:
- 1:00-2:00 PM: Setup, start cooking
- 2:00-4:15 PM: Games, picnic, activities
- 4:15-5:00 PM: Graduation ceremony
- 5:00-?? PM: Open time for activities (or head home)
I know that some scouts still have a couple more days of school, while others are already on summer break, so after the graduation ceremony, we’ll leave the gaga ball pit and other activities out for scouts and families who want to stick around.
With this schedule change, your scouts do not need to arrive in their Class A shirts, but they should still bring them along for the ceremony. They can arrive in their Class B t-shirts until it’s time to begin the ceremony.
